Booking Procedure

I can post you a booking form on request with all the relevant details or you may download and print the booking form to include with a deposit.
Please send complete forms and a £50.00 deposit per person to:

Please make all cheques payable to 'Hipshow Riding Stables'.
All balances are due in full four weeks before your holiday.
Directions To Mill Raise
We are approximately 2.5 miles from Kendal. Take the A6 North - Shap road. 1 mile out of Kendal turn right to Mealbank. Follow the road for approximately 1 mile; at the bridge turn left, don't go over the bridge. After 0.25 mile turn right (sign to Mealbank Trading Estate). Take a right turn to follow the river , keep going up the rough road into the village. With the phone box and garages on the left, turn left after the row of garages. The narrow gap next to the blue garage door is the drive entrance to Mill Raise.
Directions To Hipshow Riding Stables
Follow the same directions to Mill Raise but don't trun right at the Mealbank sign. Instead follow the road up the hill for 0.25 mile. Hipshow Riding Stables is the second turning on the left.
Conditions of Booking
Before you ride you will be asked to sign a disclaimer. You must wear a hard hat to the latest European Union safety standard (we can provide a number of these). We take care to provide safe and suitable mounts, but all animals can be unpredictable. We reserve the right to refuse a reckless rider and no refund will be given. Hipshow Riding Stables can in no way be held responsible for accident, damage or injury to person, horse, vehicle or baggage. We do not give refunds for any reason.
Horse Bed & Breakfast
We accept no liability for any injury to horses during their stay.
