Hipshow is only half a mile up the lane from Mill Raise. We are a family run business which caters for all riding abilities and ages.

When you visit Hipshow Riding Stables, you will find a friendly welcoming family; either sit back and relax, or join in with every aspect of the riding school, e.g. helping to get the horses down from the fields, brushing and tacking up, etc.

If you like a friendly, informal, laid back atmosphere; beautiful, quality, happy horses; fantastic scenery, and meeting lots of new friends (humans and animals), Hipshow is the perfect holiday destination for you. This is an animal lovers paradise, as the stables are only part of the farmyard. You will meet lots of characters like Sooty and Sweep, my Mum's huge pet pigs; Rosco the pet donkey who wanders around the yard like owns the place! My Mum's beautiful Harlequin Great Dane cross Collie....we may have invented this breed....'a Great Dolly'?; and Clause, a black Collie cross. My sister's dogs: Ella the scruffy, one eared lovely terrier and Burt the Labrador; 2 cats; my lurcher Albert who lives at Mill Raise. There are also hundreds of doves, hens, ducks and cockerels. Oh, and an African grey parrot, a small green parrot and a cockatiel or two.....
