Rides & Prices
We have enough rides to go on different routes every day of your stay with us. Whichever ride you choose, there are endless quiet country lanes and bridleways with spectacular views. The area is undiscovered by tourists and very peaceful and relaxing, with very few cars. For more experienced riders there are plenty of opportunities for a good gallop.
Childrens ride
Approximately half an hour - £13.00 per person.
A gentle walk ride suitable for younger children (minimum age 4 years). Mum & Dad are welcome to ride as well, or just come along for the walk and to take some photos.
Novice/Beginners ride
Approximately 1 hour - £20.00 per person.
A gentle walk and trot ride mainly through open fields; suitable for any age.
Lunch
On the longer rides that include lunch this may be enroute (as a picnic, pub lunch, or at a local farmhouse) while the horses graze in a nearby field, or may be at the end of the ride in Hipshow farmhouse.
Riding Hats and Clothing
All riders must wear a protective riding hat: we have a large selection of riding hats in most sizes, which we provide free of charge. You are welcome to bring your own hat but it must reach the latest British/European standard.
Jodphurs and riding boots are obviously most suitable but leggings or long trousers and any boots with a small heel will suffice. Please bring waterproofs and warm clothes. There are sometimes barbeques by the swimming pool so pack your costume and hope for good weather!
Experienced riders only
Approximately 1 hour - £25.00 per person.
An exciting ride with plenty of cantering/galloping through open fields.
1.5 hour ride
£28.00 per person.
With various routes the ride can be tailored to suit all abilities.
2 hour ride
£35.00 per person.
So many routes you'll be spoiled for choice!
Picnic/Pub lunch ride
Approximately 4 hours - £60.00 per person (lunch included).
Suitable for all abilities.
Half Day Ride
4.5 to 6 hours - from £75.00 per person (lunch included). Experienced riders only.
