Hipshow Riding Stables provide horse riding holidays in the Lake District. Set in a quiet corner of the beautiful Lake District in the UK, we are only three miles from the market town of Kendal.

There are miles of quiet country lanes, bridleways and open fields ideal for having a steady canter.

We offer hacking in beautiful countryside on fantastic 17 hand hunters. From 1 hr rides, to all day jaunts we can meet all your needs for horse riding holidays in the Lake District. New for 2016 are our three day packages for novices, beginners, and rusty riders, covering all aspects of grooming, tacking up, rising trot and steady canters (if you are ready): details are on our trail rides page.

Experienced riders will be spoiled for choice with the horses and the routes through the English countryside.

We also cater for children and beginners/novices, offering half hour rides and 1 hour treks on steady cobs and ponies; through open fields and the quiet lanes of the Lake District. You can browse our gallery of pictures to see the horses and trail rides in action!

We are able to provide great accommodation for riders with or without their own horses, and non horsey partners, family and friends are welcome.
